How much will my residency cost?

Intensive four day residency

  • £300 each per artist (two artists)

 

Fourteen day residency (begins on the first Saturday of each month)

  • £950 for one artist alone

  • £700 per artist for two artists

Ring Master Residency

  • £600 per month (One artist, twelve months)

What will I do?

Intensive four day residency - You will be led through a series of (C.I.A.) experiences and artworks. Following which you will engage with a series of activities that will ultimately lead to the production or some physical cast artwork, a series of photographs, and an edited film, or photo-series.

You will also engage in online activities with members of the (C.I.A.).

Fourteen day residency

  • You will be introduced to artworks created by the (C.I.A.), and follow similar activities to the four day residency.

  • You will have time to explore and consolidate ideas through extended guidance, and opportunities to explore the area alone.

  • opportunity to engage with a broader selection of artists involved with the (C.I.A.) Collective.

  • There may also be opportunity to become involved with exhibitions/events organised by the (C.I.A.).

Where are you?

We are located on the West Coast of Wales, in the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. Ysgoldy is within a small hamlet surrounded by mountains, close to the beach, on the fringe of a Celtic Rainforest.

Do I need anything?

  • It is good to have costumes relating to your current work available during the residency. However, if you do not have any current performance work, we can develop these through our dressing up boxes.

  • You should have public liability insurance - either through membership to organisations such as AN, or the Artists Union, or through your institution.

  • Outdoor clothing, and foot ware are an essential part of your equipment. We are located in an area where hill walking is a necessity, and rain is inevitable.

  • Any personal medication.

  • Inform us of any dietary requirements beforehand.
