About Us
We are a family of artists, at the core are the Roberts family, with an extended family of artists who help make things happen.
The (C.I.A.) currently exists in Gwynedd, West Wales (where the residencies take place), Derbyshire, Midlands England and we are extending into the Netherlands.
We create, curate and produce a range of objects, exhibitions, films and experiences.
When you visit us, Jonny, Sally and our dogs Alwyn (a Labradoodle), Libby and Phoebe (Jackapoo), you will stay in The School House. We are always happy to share our home with other artists and understand the need to make art as we both have over thirty years experience as artists, and educators.
We regularly exhibit/show/preform nationally and internationally, so we both travel around, but we do like to personally welcome you to Ysgoldy and we like our home to be your home for the duration of your stay.
Future plans:
We are working towards a more self-sustaining lifestyle, with the development of a woodland vegetable garden, moving chickens into the woodland and in the planning stage of building a sunny drawing room in the garden.

Ringmaster
Jonny Roberts
Jonny is an artist, writer, film maker, performer and general fool. His work includes comedy, bawdy seaside humour and the absurd . Trained in clay, plaster and history, he makes sculptures and has worked as a lecturer for a long time, and has exhibited in lots of different places.

Sally Anne Roberts
Sally is an artist, performer, educator and farmer. Her work has a strong relatioship to the envirinment and our actions within it. She is intrested in rituals, beliefs and actions. Trained in Ceramics and Fine Art, she has taught art and animal care, and has exhibited and performed in many places.
